Went to a walk along the river in the morning, before making a scary stop at a Weight Watchers for Nancy (stupid vacation weight!)Shopped in Idaho Falls for awhile and then drove on. Shopped some more at Walmart in Great Falls before getting to bed late. Home today. :(

Chilly in Idaho Falls!

Idaho!
Just outside Green River

In Orem, Utah at the malll (yup it was a slow picutre day)
We've gone from 38 degree heat to 8 degrees! Brr!!!
Today was mostly uneventful, drove from Green River to Salt Lake City, stopped at the mall to do a little shopping...Archivers! Then tried to find an outlet mall, but it was pouring so we decided to continue on to Idaho. Ended up in Idaho Falls at the Guest House Inn. Went to Sizzler for dinner. Yum!! Only 2 days left to go, should be in Great Falls again tomorrow night.

Forgot to mention the internet sucks here, so no photos till tonight.

No Room at the Inn

So we started our trek into Utah today, left Williams after checking out the tourist shops and the Grand Canyon Railroad. Then drove towards Moab. We stopped at the Famous Cameron Trading Post and took some pics. Our next stop was at the Navajo Historic Site where we did a little hike to see the cliff dwellings from the 1200/1300s. Very cool. Then we drove on to Moab, taking in lots of pretty scenery along the way. Jacky took many a sunroof photo. Arrived in Moab to discover they're filming a Disney Movie in the area and there was no available rooms to be had...so we decided to move on, sadly without seeing Arches, but there's always next time. :) We ended up in Green River, Utah and from here we go to Salt Lake City.

This squirrel accosted Jacky for Ice cream at The Grand Canyon!

Nancy`s Ice Cream cone, purchased at...The Grand Canyon!
It was devoured too quickly for the squirrel to know I had it!

More Sunset at The Grand Canyon!

And one last shot of The Grand Canyon!

So we're having a contest. Guess how many photos we took at the Grand Canyon (between both of us) and you can win a fabulous 8x10 photo...your choice of Jacky with the squirrel or Nancy with the nightshot of the Canyon in the background...or the one we know want...an awesome self potrait of the 2 of us...see it above. :) Post your guess in the comments.

In other news, the Grand Canyon is amazing, you really need to see it for yourself, because the photos don't do it justice. Our day was spent walking, taking photos, more walking, more photos, Jacky getting harrassed by a squirrel who wanted her ice cream, more photos, and more walking. We even walked partway into the canyon. We agreed we need to come back and walk to the bottom. We stayed for the sunset and then drove back to Williams for the night. Tomorrow is a big driving day....6 hours to Moab, then Arches! Too bad the trip is more than 1/2 way done now.
Oh and by the way....this was typed at 1AM....we amused ourselves, and hopefully you. :)
And one more thing, the squirrel did not share Jacky`s ice cream! (What a meanie!)...Actually we were right next to a sign warning you against feeding the wildlife and we know better anyways!
