We've been recruited

Air Force AcademyView from the Chapel

The Chapel at the Academy

Garden of the Gods

Kissing Camels rock

Welcome to New Mexico...was kinda rainy so we didn't pose with the sign

Today we started out by heading to Colorado Springs...first to the Air Force Academy and then to the Garden of the Gods. The Academy was moderately interesting, especially the 13 minute video, which convinced us we needed to sign up (at least until we meet some hot Air Force Officers). Sadly the biggest part of the vistors center was the gift shop. We finished our tour by walking to the chapel and then headed out towards Pike's Peak. Garden of the Gods was very pretty, but it was REALLY hot out, and we both got a bit burned. We did take many photos though (surprised?). After that we headed towards New Mexico where we checked into another Quality Inn in Santa Fe, which has the smallest pillows we've ever seen. Ended up eating at Sonic (and no Vicki, we didn't have peach iced tea), since apparently everything in Santa Fe closes at 9. Decided to go for a walk, but got caught in the rain, so we lapped the hallways to burn off our chili cheese dogs. Off to downtown Santa Fe tomorrow, it's supposed to be another scorcher at 31 degrees.
